Wow. That is some good luck to find the specialists who could diagnose it and help you. Very impressive results. ME/CFS is so intractable most of the time. This is very interesting.
Having had spinal surgery, recovered (mostly) from partial paralysis, (plus having 2 ragged discs in my neck) I can understand some of what you are dealing with now. Recovery is never "over", it's a lifetime thing, but it does get easier, and with work one can be stronger and fitter than most are. (But never an Ironman Triathlon for me.) I still have to think about walking and standing, but nobody else notices. There are rare relapses, collapse on the floor, able to only crawl for a while. But with work, it resolves. I wish you only the best, and that your recovery stays stable. Just don't expect PT to ever end, and it should.
That's just so great that you had this intervention and it worked so well. I don't know you, but I'm happy you had good surgeons and it all worked out.
