If it is a real person, and not employed for propaganda purposes, I have come to look for the why. What motivates their position? Looking into anti-vax, the new Republican strain seems to be an accident. Historically, anti-vax was mostly pandered to by Democrats--Newsom pandered relative to Senator Pan's bill because this single-issue group could deliver votes necessary to win primaries. Now that Newsom feels more secure, he doesn't have to do that so much.
Lockdowns scared the working class and put some out on the street. Masks became the symbol to rebel against, and any narrative to justify that was accepted. I think this is the origin of Fauci-hate. There is an ecosystem that taps into these things to make money. (I realized years ago I would be quickly rich if I wrote an anti-vax or anti-GMO book and made the rounds.)
With Trump's election loss, and COVID vaccines coming out with Biden's inauguration, vaccines were a natural extension of the symbolic protest against masking. This was spotted quickly by political consultants as a wedge issue to exploit. It didn't make sense, because the speed of those vaccines approval was a quite real accomplishment of Trump's presidency. But politics is perception more than reality.
The deep, sociopathic cynicism of the Republican anti-vax wedge issue exploitation is shown in how it killed so many Republican voters.
I expect that the same sort of consultants see RFK Jr. as a natural to take the anti-vax political wedge issue back for Democrats. I don't think many think he's viable, but nobody thought Trump was either.
The matter of paid propagandists is a troubling one, and definitely done by anti-vaxxers. As I mentioned there is an ecosystem of anti-(whatever) that pays well. Anti-vax rewards richly. RFJ Jr. takes $500k/yr, Mercola is a millionaire, Wakefield has also done well.
If more progress is going to be made, it needs better understanding of motives, in addition to methods. This article on "sealioning" (a new term for me) is very good. Let's continue to develop greater sophistication.
